Katie & her 4 Puppies
Katie is a sweet, 3 year old, wirehaired dachshund, that has had 3 liters of puppies in a year. She was surrendered to us on 5/25/13 & was supposed to be due to have 4 puppies in a few weeks. But, she had them on 5/29/13! She had 4 puppies; 3 males & 1 female. It was a tough delivery, because 3 of the puppies were breach. It took many hours of pushing and some help from foster mom, to get them all delivered. Mama and puppies are doing well so far.
UPDATE 6/12/2013: Katie and the puppies are doing great! The puppies opened their eyes for the first time on Monday. They are 14 days old today. The boy puppy names are Tonto, (Lone) Ranger & Dillon. The female is named Misty.
