Sweet little Reesey was an owner surrender at a shelter. She was scared to death and then tested positive for heartworms. Her foster mom rescued her from the shelter and will soon be getting the heartworm treatment she needs.
Reesey had her evaluation at the vet and will be getting the first heartworm injection after 30 days of being on doxycycline. In the meantime she is resting comfortably at her new foster home. After the first treatment, Reesey will be on strict crate rest for about 2 months. Then, hopefully she will be free to run and play and find her new forever home. Below are pictures of Reesey at her foster home and practicing for her crate rest.
