OK, so maybe his name is pretty common, but this wonderful little guy is one in a million!!  He is one of the easiest, most adaptable fosters we’ve had.  Oscar fit right into our household and schedule within days of arriving.  He is super sweet and affectionate, just melts into a lap, even with first time visitors!

Oscar was accepted by the permanent doxie residents immediately with his easy-going personality.  He hangs out on doggy beds with all the dogs, even our Taz, who won’t let ANY foster sit with him on a bed!

Oscar loves going for long walks!  He gets so excited when the harness comes out.  He is very enthusiastic and will need some continued work on not pulling like a sled dog!  He will bark at people and other dogs, but is friendly when we meet and greet. He wants to chase the cats in the neighborhood, so a cat in the home would not appreciate Oscar.

One smart boy, it only took Oscar a day to figure out the doggy door!  He is completely reliable going potty outside on his own with a doggy door.  He hates being in a crate, but has been so trustworthy, he has been allowed total freedom in the house with the other resident doxies when we are away.  Oscar sleeps burrowed under a blanket with at least one of the resident doxies.  He also, thoroughly enjoys sleeping in the big bed with us when allowed.

Whether it is cuddling on the sofa, going for a car ride, taking a BRISK walk or lying in the warmth of a sunny patch in the lawn, Oscar is ready for anything and a completely delightful, incredibly cute and happy boy!
