My name is Thor!  I was found wandering outside of Jacksonville and a nice gentleman took me (& another doxie) in.  He took care of us as he tried to find our family but was unable to do so.  He then contacted FLDR (when he was going to be deployed in the military) to find us permanent homes.

I came into my foster home with no records or anything.  I went to the vet, had all my shots and am heartworm negative.  The vet said I am healthy and needed dental done.  Now I have beautiful pearly white teeth and fresh breath.  I will give you kisses all day long if you let me. I am extremely shy but once I warm up to you, I will be your best friend.  I tend to spend my days hanging out in the fenced backyard (hunting lizards, squirrels, or anything that moves) and lounging on a doggie bed, minding my own business.

I am very gentle and obedient, even responding to my new name.  I am well-behaved and am very easy-going and just enjoy lying on the floor and being near my foster parents.  There are many other doxies here to play with, but would rather just chill.  I sleep on a doggie bed in the master bedroom; however, I would love to join you in the big bed.  I am housebroken & have mastered the doggie door.  It takes me a while to feel comfortable to jump on you, but when I do, I would love to spend the days laying our lap.  I love going for walks and exploring nature.
